BEMO came into being 11 years ago in 2010 when long-time friends and ex-Microsoft co-workers Bruno Lecoq (BEMO’s CEO & CISO) and Joel Lachance (BEMO’s CFO) came together to provide Microsoft Project Server and Microsoft SharePoint hosting in the cloud. That's us, below! 👇
We saw the business world shifting even further to the digital realm. With that, we recognized the holes that businesses would inevitably fall into, especially small businesses. Being a small business owner himself, Bruno had a soft spot for small and midsize businesses and knew they would be the first to be left behind by technological advances.
BEMO decided to help and in 2018, we zeroed in on cybersecurity and transitioned to the cloud to keep our customers up to date and efficient while also remaining secure in our fast-paced world.
Creating ease and providing safety has been at the forefront of BEMO since its inception and is represented in our Mission, our Core Values, and every interaction we have with our customers.
At BEMO, we want you and your business to be your best, be the most, be more (BE-MO, get it?!).
Years in Business
OK...but what does that really mean? Basically, your business has two options right? Thrive or fail. We make sure you thrive by ensuring your business is not only as productive as possible but also as protected as can be. Heard of malware, viruses, phishing scams, and all the other "hacker in a hoodie" horror stories? We make sure your business is safeguarded against data breaches and money grabs so you can focus on what's important: growing your business.
Why include "small or medium-sized" in our mission? Most of our team is ex-Microsoft and all of our team has worked in large companies at some point and...we all wanted a change. With SMBs, we get to make a real difference in your company and help you grow. It makes us feel good about what we put out into the world. That's why SMB.
If we expect you to give us the keys to the kingdom, you'd better know who we are and that you can trust us, right? So, we make it easy to trust us. In everything from our contracts to our job posts, we are and will always be transparent with you.
Transparency is about information. It is about the receiver's ability to have full access to the information s/he wants, not just the information the sender is willing to provide. Transparency embodies honesty and open communication because to be transparent, someone must be willing to share information, even when it's uncomfortable.
Transparency is an individual being honest with him or herself about the actions they are taking. Transparency is also the organization being upfront and visible about its activities and whether those actions are consistent with its values.
Working at BEMO means that everyone is encouraged to open access to information, participation, and decision-making, which ultimately creates a higher level of trust among everyone from our customers to our BEMOers .
In today's business world, it is extremely easy to get lost in the ever-changing atmosphere of product launch and service expansion. Launching new products, services, or expanding into other sectors is a way to keep BEMO evolving during such fast-paced times. However, during that expansion, we always ensure that any direction we head jives with the company's foundation: our mission.
Working at BEMO means that you will always challenge yourself, your team members, or anyone at BEMO to make sure that the work we all do every day positively impacts our mission (to keep our customers connected and secure) and gets us a step closer to achieving it!
At BEMO, Agility is the ability of our company to renew itself, adapt, change quickly, and succeed in a rapidly changing environment. Agility is not incompatible with stability—quite the contrary. Agility requires stability for most companies.
Agility needs two things: One is a dynamic capability, the ability to move fast—speed, nimbleness, responsiveness. The second is stability, a stable foundation—a platform if you will—of things that don't change. This sturdy backbone becomes a springboard for the company, an anchor point that doesn't change while many other things are always changing.
Working at BEMO means that you should be ready to work in a fast-paced environment where we often tweak how we work, how we collaborate and interact with each other and our clients while also maintaining our core values and processes.
At BEMO, we are a team, sharing our unique talents to help those with whom we work, live, and serve. The diverse thinking and decision-making of our people strengthens our team. We respect and value people with different opinions, experiences, and backgrounds.
We strive to understand the big picture, then do our part. We know that we can produce better results by working together than any of us can achieve alone.
Working at BEMO means that you are committed to a teamwork environment where every person is a valued member, treated with respect, encouraged to contribute, and recognized and rewarded for his/her efforts.
At BEMO, we wholeheartedly believe in the well-known Confucius quote, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." Our team members are passionate about what we do every day. And...while we love what we do, it's essential to get away from our desks and have other fun.
Having fun is vital for remaining "sane" in the fast-paced world we live in and work in. We don't believe fun at work takes away from productivity—we think it increases it. When you enjoy the people you work with and the environment you work in, it's much easier to focus your passion on developing great solutions and deliver our services to our clients.
Having fun has helped us build relationships that go deeper than being co-workers. After all, we spend 40+ hours per week with each other, shouldn't we get along?
Working at BEMO means that you should be ready to work hard but also play hard. Be prepared to make friends that will last well beyond your office hours!
Why is it so hard to find any good blogs on Microsoft and Azure? Most of the blogs we read weren't actually helpful, and it was obvious the writers didn't spend that much time actually educating their readers. Not to mention Microsoft and Azure licensing and details are so confusing, and are always changing! That's why our people write weekly blogs to answer the tough questions, and make it as easy as we can to break down the tough IT and security questions.
After months of preparation, sorting through hundreds of applications, and weeks of interviews, we are happy to...
