Welcome, Nina Cullen! BEMO's Second Hire of 2022

Featured Image

We here at BEMO are proud to announce our second hire of 2022, Nina Cullen!

Nina will be our new Director of Customer Success and Support, leading both our Customer Success and Support Engineer teams. She joins us all the way from sunny Southern California and will be reporting directly to Bruno Lecoq, our CEO and CISO.

Let's learn a little more about Nina, shall we?

Nina is originally from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina (pictured below) but has moved around a bit since then before settling down just outside of San Diego. Even though Nina declined a pharmacology scholarship to WSU, she graduated with a degree in Computer Science at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec due to her love of online gaming.

Although Nina didn’t become a game developer, she did start a family young and transferred her passion for software into Customer Success. This eventually paved the way for her to find her home here at BEMO, so it was worth it, right!?

Her biggest inspiration comes from her kids. According to Nina, "a lot of what I do, or the energy I put in, are because of their aspirations in life, even the one that wants to be a rainbow sparkly scary cat when she grows up."

Speaking of kids, when asked what's the coolest thing she's working on right now, Nina had this to say: "...writing a children's book and my new gig as a non-profit volunteer worker at Vlada’s Seeds of Life where I can focus my passion on gardening and cooking for a positive family life."

Gardening? You betcha. In her free time, Nina is passionate about homesteading and is a self-proclaimed tree-hugger. If you don't believe us, check out this photo:

In addition to that, Nina loves to bake cakes and still gets her little dose of gaming in once the kids are all put to bed. You know what they say...once a gamer, always a gamer!

Here's some more from the Q&A we had with Nina:

What was the best concert you ever attended? Andre Rieu in Ottawa

If you could be any animal, what would you be? 50/50 on a dolphin or an eagle, depending if my fear of heights remains

What's the last book you read? Well, this is going to make me a nerd: "The Customer Success Economy" by Mehta/Pickens

What's your favorite movie? Fifth Element

What are you currently watching on Netflix? The Witcher, Call the Midwife, and waiting desperately for Outlander and the Last Kingdom new seasons

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day? Default answer: my cat that sleeps all day. Thoughtful answer: my middle daughter, 8 years old

What's the best meal you've ever had? Ethiopian Injera Meat Feast

If you could visit anywhere in the world you've never been, where would you go? Greece

What are some of your pet peeves? Grammar (or lack thereof)

Which four individuals, dead or alive, would you like to eat dinner with the most? Robin Williams, Prince, Tesla, Monet (really weird combo come to think of it)

If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Red

What is your favorite family tradition? Easter egg breaking

Who is your least favorite superhero? I have issues with superheroes that don't have powers. I feel like they need a different name. So yes, I'll choose Superman over Batman any day. However, lately I've been having an issue with Green Arrow. I mean...where do all the arrows go if you don't go chasing after them? You always have to make arrows!

Welcome to BEMO, Nina! We're delighted to have you on the Team.
