Network Performance

What is the minimum bandwidth/speed of the internet connection that is required to use BeMo services?

There is no set required internet speed in order to use BeMo services since the requirement may widely vary based on the disparity in user scenarios and what users may perceive as being slow. Typically a 1.5Mbps DSL connection with a download speed of 1.5Mbps and an upload speed of 0.15Mbs with less than 300msec latency will provide more than acceptable performance.

Actually, BeMo services run on a state-of-the-art network with redundant 10Gbit connections and are accessed by users all of over the world. One of the first feedback we got from customers abroad was actually “we can’t believe how fast are your services”.

The network performance rarely impede on the BeMo service unless a user is on an usually slow DSL connection with a lot of latency and needs to download huge files rapidly or need to access our Terminal Services application with high-fidelity graphic. Typical users who mostly use the PWA interface will rarely run into this situation. Additionally, Project Managers who use the 'log on to Project Server from Project Professional' feature will, without knowing, take advantage of the caching mechanism built in Project Server 2010 which makes the application very tolerant to slow network connection.

How can I find out how good is my connection to your servers?

Very easy. You can simply run our speed test procedure available on BeMo Support website.

or simply Take a free tour of Microsoft Project Server hosted on BeMo Cloud.
